移民政策國際研討會

會議緣起

緣起及目的：

　　隨著全球化浪潮，近年來，臺灣跨國婚姻蓬勃發展，全臺人口的族群結構產生改變，新住民儼然成為臺灣第五大族群，是社會重要新興動力來源之一。

　　為落實照護新住民及其子女，提供全方位服務，且形塑友善移民的生活環境，使我國移民政策之內涵及相關措施更為貼近民意，本年度爰規劃辦理「2013年移民政策國際研討會暨全國新住民火炬計畫成果展」；活動中除呈現火炬計畫之成果外，更積極邀請德國、新加坡、美國等國內、外學者，分別就跨越族群與多元文化、移民照顧、二代子女教養與學習等議題進行跨國對話，激盪出新創意與思維，以引起各界對上開議題重視及迴響。

Under globalization, international marriage prospers in Taiwan in recent years, which influence demographics. New Immigrants have become the fifth biggest community in Taiwan, and also an emerging power in the society.

To provide care and comprehensive services to new Immigrants and their offspring, to build an Immigrants-friendly environment, and to close the gap between immigration policies and public opinion, 2013 International Conference on Immigration Policy and New Immigrants Torch Program Achievements Exhibition is organized. The event invites experts in Taiwan and from Germany, Singapore, and USA, to share their experiences in community relationship, multiculturalism, immigration services, and offspring education. It is hoped to inspire new ideas and proposals, and initiate further conversations and reflections on these issues.
